this morning on bus 165, there is this pair of les sitting in front of me. one is early 20s and the other one is late teens. well, i got nothing again les, but then they open up their packet of mee hoon and share with each other. on a air con double deck bus. wah lao. everyone looking at them they can eat like nobody problem sia.

example u got 4 numbers, wxyz, and u use ibet to bet all possible combinations. meaning u got 24 combinations to buy. hence if u buying by 1 bucks each meaning u will need to pay 24 bucks.

but the new ibet system allow u to use 1 bucks to buy all the possible combinations. examples if wzxy open u also win. but will win lesser according to the ratio. hmmmm

hence if i win an wei jiang with the correct combination wxyz, normally will win 60 bucks. but then if ibet, i will win only 60/24 around 3 bucks each. but the catch here is if i won zxyw, i also won 3 bucks.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation?

I received my M1 hp bill last friday with an item under Value Added Services, from mTouche Service 77330 (Tel: 64230392, http://www.mtouche.com) for 1 access for $1.

On Sat, I called M1. They told me to check with the 3rd-party service provider directly. They only receive the instruction to bill. They cannot cancel the charges unless they receive instructions from the 3rd-party service provider. They also told me that I am not able to block any sender from sending sms to me.

This afternoon, I called mTouche, they told me that it's a CNY greeting SMS sent by a company called Global Fund or something. Yes, I received the SMS. No, I did not request for the sms and have no idea who the sender is. They will waive the charge if I fax in my invoice.

I checked mTouche's website, and here's what I found:
"mTouche? has full direct connections to the Mobile Network Operators each of the four countries we are in.
We are capable of reaching all their mobile subscribers."
Including in Singapore, SingTel, M1, & Starhub.

My questions are:
1. Can M1 allow entities to bill me for receiving unsolicited sms?
2. Does this mean that there is a possibility that any entity is able to send CNY sms greetings to around 4 million people in Singapore and receive S$4 million for it?
3. Is there any way to prevent/regulate entities from pushing unsolicited content to handphone users and charging them for it?

i dunno i got or not i need to check sia....

Man Found Dead With Gunshot Wounds

A 41-year-old Chinese man was found dead with gunshot wounds at his flat this morning.

On 15 Feb 2006 at about 7.10 am , Police responded to a call that someone had been shot at Blk 223 Serangoon Ave 4. A 41-year-old businessman who resided in the flat, was found bleeding and lying face down on the floor in the study room. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7.50am

Earlier at about 6.55 am , a man had entered the flat armed with a gun. The victim's wife, teenaged daughter and maid were tied up and the house was ransacked. A few shots were heard and the victim was fatally wounded. The victim’s wife, daughter and maid were unhurt. The man then ran out of the door towards an unknown direction.

Police are currently on the look out for the suspect. He is believed to be Chinese in his late 30s to 40s, and is described as plump built, about 1.7 m tall. He is wearing a black round-neck T-shirt with some wordings, black pants and black shoes. He was also sporting a black cap and appeared to be blind in his right eye. He fled the house carrying a blue-coloured denim handbag which is believed to contain cash and jewellery taken from the house.

Members of the public who spot anyone fitting the description of the suspect are advised to call the Police immediately. They should not approach the suspect as he may be dangerous.

Manhunt underway in Singapore after gunshot murder of businessman


SINGAPORE: A 41-year-old businessman was shot dead early Wednesday morning in his flat in Serangoon.

When police arrived at about 7.10am at Block 223, Serangoon Avenue 4, they found the man lying face down and bleeding on the floor of the study room.

Police say a man, armed with a gun, had entered the flat at about 6.55am.

The victim's wife, teenage daughter and the maid were tied up and the house was ransacked.

A few shots were heard and the man then ran out of the flat.

The businessman may have known the assailant, police say.

A manhunt is currently ongoing for the suspect who is believed to be a Chinese man in his late 30s to 40s.

He has been described as being plump and about 1.7 metres tall, and was last seen wearing a black round necked T-shirt, black pants and black shoes.

He also had a black cap and appeared to be blind in his right eye.

Police add that he had fled the house carrying a blue denim handbag believed to contain cash and jewellery taken from the flat.

The police have advised members of the public not to approach the suspect as he may be dangerous.

Channel NewsAsia news team spoke to some neighbours who were awakened by the gunshots.

"In the morning, I heard 5, 6, or 7 loud 'bangs'. I didn't know they were gunshots until the police arrived later," said one neighbour.

"I heard a lot of noise outside. I thought it was just some people quarrelling but early in the morning I heard a loud 'bang' like gunshot....it was just a while, so I continued sleeping," said another. - CNA/ir

Joe Luft and Harry Ingham were researching human personality at the University of California in the 1950's when they devised their Johari Window. Using a form of word derivation normally reserved for suburban house names, they based the title on their two first names. Rather than measuring personality, the Window offers a way of looking at how personality is expressed.

THE JOHARI WINDOW

Luft and Ingham observed that there are aspects of our personality that we're open about, and other elements that we keep to ourselves. At the same time, there are things that others see in us that we're not aware of. As a result, you can draw up a four-box grid, which includes a fourth group of traits that are unknown to anyone:

1. The public area contains things that are openly known and talked about - and which may be seen as strengths or weaknesses. This is the self that we choose to share with others

2. The hidden area contains things that others observe that we don't know about. Again, they could be positive or negative behaviours, and will affect the way that others act towards us.

3. The unknown area contains things that nobody knows about us - including ourselves. This may be because we've never exposed those areas of our personality, or because they're buried deep in the subconscious.

4. The private area contains aspects of our self that we know about and keep hidden from others.

The application of the Johari Window comes in opening up the public area, so making the other three areas as small as possible. 关于钟姓形成的时间及原因，古人的谱牒学家说法不一。唐人林宝《元和姓纂》云：“钟，宋微子之后，桓公曾孙伯宗仕晋，生州犁，仕楚，食采钟离，因氏焉，子孙或姓钟氏。楚有钟仪、钟建，又钟子期与伯乐为友。项羽将钟离昧，昧中子楼（应为接）亦单姓钟氏。”这里所说的“宋微子”是殷纣王的哥哥，西周初期受周公旦之封在今河南商丘南建立宋国，为宋国的开国君主；宋桓公是宋国第19位国君，他有曾孙叫伯宗，在晋国任大夫，被称为“晋之贤者”但因忠直敢谏，得罪了执政的却氏，结果被杀。伯宗的儿子州犁逃到楚国，后任太宰，食采于钟离（今安徽凤阳东北），其子孙以邑为氏，分为两姓，一支为复姓钟离。春秋时楚国有郧公钟仪，大夫钟键，还有善于听琴、与善鼓琴的伯乐结为知音的钟子期。秦末有伊卢（在今江苏连云港市海州镇西南）人钟离昧，为项羽将，其第二子接，开始居于颍川长社（今河南长葛东北），为避仇，省“离”单姓钟氏。

据《左传》记载：鲁成公七年（公元前584年），郑人“囚郧公钟仪，献诸晋”；鲁成公十五年（公元前576年），“晋三却害伯宗，谮而杀之，及栾弗忌。伯州犁奔楚”。这说明在州奔楚之前楚国早已有钟氏。因此；宋人邓名世《古今氏书辨证》说：“钟建乃仪之后，而子期又建之孙，皆非出自州犁”，“今宜曰：钟仪之先仕楚，以所食邑为氏”。但是，钟仪的先人“食邑”在何地？邓名世没说，古籍也没有记载，所以，清人张澍《姓氏寻源》认为钟氏“当是以官为氏”。据《周礼?春官》记载，古代有官名钟师，掌击钟奏乐。如按张澍所说，则钟姓最早的一支系以官为氏，是周期乐宫官钟师后代。

如上所述，行秦时期的钟氏，主要居住在楚国境（今湖北、湖南一带）。从汉代开始，以后数百年间，颍州长社一直是钟氏的发展繁衍中心，这里曾孕育出许多杰出人物，所以，许多姓氏书均说钟氏望出颍川（郡治在今河南许昌市东），钟氏族人大都以“颖川”为堂号。东汉时，长社人钟皓，隐居不仕，在密山以诗律教授，门徙达千余人，其7世孙钟雅，西晋末随晋室渡江，居于建康（今江苏南京）， 在东晋元帝时为丞相记室参军，后官至御史中丞。据《台湾省通志?人民志?氏族篇》载，晋代从中原入福建省共13姓，其中有钟姓。与此同时，钟氏还有迁居今浙江绍兴者。钟雅的7世孙钟屿，为南朝梁永嘉县丞，屿子钟宠为临海令，避候景之难，徙居南康赣县（今江西赣州市）。南朝末、隋初有钟士雄，曾为南朝陈伏波将军，史书称其为“岭南酋帅”。岭南，指五岭以南，相当今广东、广西二省及越南北部一带。这说明南朝时岭南的少数民族中也有钟氏。唐初，光州固始人陈政、陈元光父子奉命入闽开辟漳州，随从将佐有钟德兴，后在福建安家。唐代，钟氏还分布于今山西、四川、广东广州、安徽合肥等地。宋、元、明时期，福建的漳州、泉州、宁化等地，广东的南海、南雄、莲岭、潮州、梅州、兴宁等地均有钟氏的聚居点，从清乾隆时开始，闽、粤、钟氏陆续有人迁居至台湾，后有些人又徙居海外。

三国时，魏有大臣、书法家钟繇，颍川长社人，文帝时任廷尉，明帝时任太傅，故人称“钟太傅”；其书法博取众长，兼善各体，尤精于隶、楷、与晋王羲之并称“钟王”。钟繇之子钟会，官至司徒，为司马昭重要谋士、博学，长于名家之学。南朝有文学批评家钟嵘，颍州长社人，历仕齐、梁二朝，所撰《诗品》，品评自汉至梁100多个诗人，在文学史上有重要位置。唐代有睿宗时宰相、书法家钟绍京、系钟繇10世孙。南宋初年有洞庭湖地区农民起义首领钟相，队伍发展至数十万，曾被推为楚王。元初有循州（今广东龙川）畲族人钟明亮，曾率众万余人起义，历时2年；元代还有戏曲家钟嗣成。明代有文学家钟惺。清道光年间有湖北崇阳农民起义首领钟人杰，曾称钟勤王。近代有植物学家钟观光。由此可见，钟氏为中国的文明与进步做出了积极的贡献。

「钟」源出：
一：以地名为氏。据《通志．氏族略．以邑为氏》所载，春秋时宋桓公之曾孙伯宗在晋国做官， 生州黎， 逃奔楚国， 食采於钟离(在今安徽省凤阳市， 一说在今湖北省汉川县东五里处)。其后有钟氏， 钟离氏。

二：为钟离氏所改。据《姓氏急就篇》所载，楚汉之际， 钟离昧为项羽部将， 其次子接， 居颍川长社(故城在今河南省长葛县西)， 其后为钟氏。

　钟氏的源流可以直接追溯到春秋时代宋微子所建的宋国，算起来是上古圣君商汤的子姓后裔。由于其始祖曾食采于一个叫作钟离的地方，所以子孙才会“以邑为氏”，开始以“钟离”或“钟”为姓。换言之，长久以来为大家所熟悉的复姓“钟离”和单姓“钟”，实际上是血缘相同的一家人，二者之间没有丝毫分别。

　　《名贤氏族言行类稿》说得最清楚：“钟姓，宋微子之后，桓公曾孙伯宗仕晋，生州黎，仕楚，食采钟离，因氏焉。子孙或单姓钟氏，楚有钟仪、钟钟、钟子期，与伯牙为友，项羽将钟离昧，昧中子接，单姓钟氏，始居颍川长社。”

钟氏在先秦时期所发射的光芒，详见于当时的史籍，譬如，春秋时代有伯牙为之“擗琴绝弦，终身不复鼓”，为后世留下了“知音”、“高山流水”等佳话的钟子期；被晋国范文子称赞为“仁、信、忠、敏”的钟仪；乃至战国时代齐宣王那位其丑无比，却又贤德无双，宣王曾因她的建议而毅然“拆渐台，罢女乐，退谄谀，进直言，选兵马，实府库”，使得齐国大安的王后“无盐君”钟离春等等，都是备受后世称颂的人物。

　　钟繇的大名，更是如雷贯耳了，他在书法上的造诣，被张怀ㄨ所著的《书断》称为“隶行入神，八分入妙”。他的名气随着传统文化而永垂不朽。

还有钟离权，道教八仙之一。元代全真教奉为「正阳祖师」，北五祖之一。其说始於五代、宋初。相传姓钟离名权，号「正阳子」，又号「云房先生」。
《列仙全传》说：钟离权，燕台人，号云房先生，为汉朝大将，在徵讨吐蕃中，被上司粱翼妒嫉，只配给他老弱残兵三万人，刚到达目的地就被吐蕃军劫营，军士落荒而逃。钟离权也逃至一山谷，而且中途还迷路了。可是「吉人自有天相」，遇上一胡僧，将他带至一小村庄说：「这是东华先生的住处。」然后告别而去。过了一会儿，忽听有人说：「这必定是那碧眼的胡人多嘴的缘故。」见一老人披著白色的鹿裘，扶著青色的藜杖，问钟离汉道：「来者可是汉大将军钟离权 ? 为什?不来宿於山僧之所?」钟离权大惊，知道遇上了异人，於是诚心学道，向老者哀求学习救世之道。老者传授钟离权「长真决」，及金丹火候和青龙剑法。钟离汉后来遇见华阳真人，又遇上仙王玄甫，学得「长生决」。最后在崆峒山紫金四皓峰居住，得到「玉匣秘诀」，修成真仙。玉皇大帝封他为「太极左宫真人」。
另一说钟离汉为唐朝人，与吕洞宾同时，自称「天下都散汉钟离权」，后人或以「汉」字属下读，故一称「汉钟离」。
王重阳创立全真教，奉「钟离汉」为「正阳祖师」，位列北五祖之二（王玄甫，钟离权，吕洞宾，刘操，王重阳）。

thursay went out with my bro to places to collect angpao, then bought Let's go trainman vcd drama to watch... damn nice.... been sia-ing loner these few days keke... until he cant wait nearly wanna go to the vcd shop and buy to watch... haha....

friday went drinking with agnes, then saw adolf there... haha can see agnes scolding that adolf... :X... right or not? hmmm he put us aeroplane one.... keke...

then sat went to see fearless with loner... the fighting scenes are nice.... but the rest so so.... not really worth 9.50...

sun, night time pray to tian gong.... slept at 1am... morning kanna kick up by my dad... lolx.....

cny eve-

reunion dinner at home, then at night go to the river angpao with loner and grace to see fireworks... then after the nice fireworks we went to chinatown to buy goodies... alot of people... machiam the things there are free one.... keke... then the nel heng heng extend til 330am... so we took nel to hougang then take cab home... tiring sia....

cny 1st day-

went to visit my father side relatives. then collect angpao, then play some cards... nothing much....

then at night went out with adolf to the one ktv to sing.... got one big bottle of vodka we cant finish so i bring it home loh.....

cny 2nd day-

went to visit my mother side relatives, then collect angpao.... damn sad got one cousin younger than me already a mother of 3 sons liao.... then she give me angpaos... feel like crying sia... hahah.... then after that at night meet loner talk cock....

cny 3rd day-

went to sengkang to pray at the temple of white snake... hmmmmm then go home....
