Her love story...a tragic
This is her story, a sad one but there's lessons to be learnt from it. For those who tried cotacting her but couldn't, there's a reason, read on & u'll find out why. This goes to all single mums out there & for ladies who are in the midst of deciding to keep their babies.Hope it can be an encouragement to them.
It all started with a smile but ended with none...
One & a half years ago, she met someone from her church (sorry,can't mention the church name), her pastor's son. It all started with a simple smile at him and soon they started dating and got together. His name is jxxl, and she is HH. Jxxl wanted the relationship to be kept a secret so she respected him. All the while, when they were together, no one knew about it. It was only when HH got pregnant that she told her best friend about it and she in turn told her pastor. HH knew that this was wrong and wanted a break up, but Jxxl assured her that he will marry her and she gave in to him and didn't break up. There were many other times that HH wanted to break up with him: he stole $600 worth of liquer from her sister, stolen packets of cigarettes form her, stole HH's atm card and money, stole her credit card and sunscribe to pronography website, used her hp many times without her knowledge and called sex hotlines..and HH failed to do so because he'll convince her that he's sorry and that he loves her and will change for her. (She was wrong!Read on and u'll know why)
When HH's pastor and his wife knew about her pregnancy, they were grieve stricken.. HH met up with her pastor in his office and told him everything. She really trusted him and believed that his advice would be wise and good. He told her that it was unwise for her to keep the baby and raise him up herself. HH was strongly advised to go to carlifornia, bring the baby to full term and give the baby away for adoption. This way, no one will know about it and she could come back Singapore afresh. She did not have to worry about the money issue and all will be taken care of. Even if she have to break her teaching bond($76K), they'll take care of it.This plan sounded good because she had no one else to turn to or talk to for all this is supposed to be kept a secret. HH was not to discuss the matter with anybody else and she agreed to it. She was also strongly advised not to attend church during her pregnacy to prevent stumbling others.
However, after HH's first scanning she gave up the whole idea. When she saw her baby and his heart beating from the ultrascan, she cried and realised that he is her flesh and blood, he's alive, he's her son! She just could not give him away for adoption. She decided to keep her baby no matter what happens.
A series of bad things happened before HH could tell her family about her pregnancy. Within the same month, three relatives passed away and she simply could not grieve them further. It was only after another month later that she told them about the whole issue. They were furious and grieved at first but were all supportive of keeping the baby.
Soon both Jxxl and HH's family met up and discussed about HH's pregnancy issue. HH's family wanted them to get married, Jxxl's parents didn't want them to.They were still persisitant of HH sending the baby away for adoption. HH's brother asked Jxxl in front of everyone if he wanted to marry her and his reply was, "yes i will marry her but not now." Since both parties could not come to any agreement, the meeting ended and HH's family were told to have another meeting one month later.
HH did not know if she was over sensitive, but it seems that after she had decided to keep her baby, her pastor stopped contacting her and all the help and support ceased. one month later, HH's brother tried to arrange for another meeting but couldn't because Jxxl's parents said they were busy. They dragged the meeting till HH was one week away from her delivery date.
During all these time, many things happened between jxxl and HH. Before the meeting HH asked Jxxl again if he wanted to marry her but this time the reply was different. He said, "No, i'm not ready." So she gave up the whole idea of marriage and told her family about it. They respected her decision and said that they'll meet up with Jxxl's parents only to discuss about financial issue and the custody of the baby.
HH managed to apply for one year no pay leave and stayed at home to rest. However, she was running short of cash because all the while Jxxl's been taking money from her and he kept assuring her that he'll pay her back. He told her not to worry about the hospital delivery fees ($600 deposit) and that he'll settle it. HH trusted him, but even till five days before her delivery date he still didn't pass her a single cent. Two days before her delivery date he finally told her that he's got no money and his parents will settle after that, but for the time being HH need to get the money herself. She was shocked when he told her that, but she managed to borrow money from her sister for the hospital deposit.
HH's baby came one day before the expectation date. It was on a monday night(7/3/05) that she started to feel the labour pain. She called jxxl and he said that he was at parklane playing games and may not be able to accompany her to the hospital, but he'll try. HH tried calling him mqany times after that but he didn't answer her calls and she gave up. HH's mum accompanied her to the hospital instead. She gave birth on 8/3/05 around 2 plus in the afternoon. She wept for joy e moment she saw her baby.
Though things were tough for HH, it was all worthwhile for the little one. Many of HH's relatives and her best friend came to visit her. But, no sign of Jxxl or his family! Jxxl only came to visit baby and her the night they discharged from hospital.HH started to feel that Jxxl was hiding something from her because he stopped seeing or calling her as often and sometimes even refused to answer her calls.
One night while Jxxl was sleeping she did something she never would have done. HH took his handphone and read his messages. It was really an coincidence that he lost his handphone a few days ago and forgot to set his pin code for the new handphone that she was able to see his messages and contacts. Almost all the messages were from a girl called Leoxnx and they were intimate messages. HH was quite certain that Jxxl was cheating on her. After He left my house she summoned all her courage and called Leoxnx. HH told her she's Jxxl's girlfriend and asked Leoxnx who is she to Jxxl. She told HH she was also his girlfriend. They talked and HH told her everything about them, the baby and all. What Leoxnx told HH almost shocked her to death... She told HH that Jxxl and her were together for about a month. What hurt HH most was that they've had sex many times and even on the night that she was in labour, they were having sex in parklane's toilet. Outrageous!No wonder Jxxl didn't want to accompany her to the hospital that night & refused to answer her calls.
HH finally confronted Jxxl. At first he denied but confessed finally. He told HH that he didn't love leoxnx at all only liked her and used her for sex because he couldn't have sex with HH. HH wanted to break uo with him but he didn't want to. He asked HH for one last chance and said that once he goes to uraguay to stay with a pastor for 4 months he'll change..for HH and for the baby. He said he loves HH and will not cheat on her ever. HH love him and gave in to his pleas. He broke up with Leoxnx a few days later and told HH he'll never see Leoxnx again.
Things seemed to be quite alright for both HH and Jxxl, but another 2 weeks later something else happened again that changed everything. HH and her baby had been sick for 1 week and Jxxl had not visited them. He only called occasionally to ask what she was doing and always said that he's at katong shopping centre playing games. HH felt suspicious because how could someone not come and see his son and girlfriend for an entire week knowing that they are sick? HH felt that he's cheating on her again. HH was right! Jxxl cheated on her again! This time its with a girl called Shxtxng that he picked up from zouk. Shxtixg and HH talked and Shxtxng said the same thing, that she's also Jxxl's girlfriend. Sxutxng said Jxxl goes to her NUS hostel almost every night and had sex there.
HH confronted Jxxl and he confessed to her. However this time, things were different. He said he really liked Shxtixg alot and didn't want to break off with her. He also wanted to stay with HH and asked her to wait for him to come back after 8 months to see how things goes. He said he did not know what will happen after 8 months. Maybe he'll choose to be with HH maybe Shxtixg. There's no assurance at all. So finally, HH decided to break off with him. HH could not stand sharing a boyfriend with another person knowing that he liked her also. He did not want the break up but HH forced him to. He did not have a choice this time, and HH told him that she would cut off all contacts from now on. This happened on the 16 April 2005. So, that's almost the summary of what happened so far. HH's heart is still hurting alot, so much that She would rather die if she can. But she did not, for she needed to be strong for her child & her family.
Well, so much has happened to HH...Many times she thought of killing herself but did not because of God and her baby. What HH has been through is indeed very tough and painful, if she could pull through and give birth to her baby, anyone else could too. HH has now stepped out of darkness and is living in the light and truth again. Hope this story can encourage women who are struggling to make a decision to keep their babies.
