Encouraged by the public's response to the previous exercise, LTA is once again inviting the public to give their views on the names for the eight stations along the remaining two stages of CCL.
For a period of two weeks, from 6 to 20 July 2005, members of public can give us their feedback via the Feedback Unit e-consultation portal at (http://www.feedback.gov.sg) or the LTA website (http://www.lta.gov.sg).
Two names have been short-listed for each of the eight stations, based on the following criteria:-
they should depict the locality of the area;
they should reflect the historical and heritage of the area; and
they should represent the multi-racial/multi-cultural character of Singapore.
Members of the public are also welcomed to suggest other names for the stations taking into account the above criteria. The proposed names for the exercise are attached in Annex B.
After the exercise, LTA will compile and evaluate the views, based on the above criteria and taking into consideration the relevance and uniqueness of the proposed station names. LTA will then send the proposed names to the SBNB for their consideration and decision.
