I refer to "Don't blog in the heat of the moment, talk it out instead" (July 8) by Nelson Quah, whose contention is that bloggers have other meaningful ways to solve their problems than to blog about it.
.
But isn't writing a form of concentrated thinking?
.
Perhaps, the writer is unaware of the benefits of blogging.
.
When someone blogs, he reduces his thoughts into words. It helps him to formulate his own opinions about the problem.
.
By going online, he puts himself at the receiving end of more objective remarks from fellow bloggers and readers.
.
So, blogging helps to solicit advice and shape opinions. It also helps to make the blogger a better writer.
.
In light of the blogging phenomenon, I see blogging as a useful means to help one de-stress through writing about one's problems and frustrations.
.
As long as accuracy is assured, bloggers should fear no libel.
.
Lim Thiam Poh now i think bloggers no need to have medishield liao... keke... so when is Singapore Bloggers Medical Fund (SBMF) going to be setup?
