got this from email:
Dear all,
Thanks for reading this email.
By now, we have read reports on the tragedy last Sunday across Asia.
Whilst Nature has shown her worst, it has also brought out the best in
every one of us.
Many had come forward to donate their time, monies, supplies to help the
victims.
In Sentosa, a group of us have also come together to organise a
candlelight vigil for anyone and everyone.
Details of the vigil are as follow (& per attachment):-
Date: 2 Jan 2005 (Sunday)
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Venue: Tanjong Beach, Sentosa
Candles will be sold at $10 each.
All proceeds will go to the Singapore Red Cross's relief efforts.
Red Cross tins will be around, should you want to make your donations.
Island admission and transportation charges still applies.
Spread the word!
Thanks and regards,
Lay Ling

another email :
For people who like to help and situated in Singapore, please call
1900-9111110 to donate S$ 10.00
1900-9111150 to donate S$ 50.00
to assist the Singapore Red Cross Society to give humanitarian assistance to our neighbours.
It is sad that so many asian countries are affected by the tsunami. Singapore Red Cross Society did not publicize the number very well, so I have made the effort to call Singapore Red Cross Society
at 6334 9152 / 6334 9153 / 6336 0269 to confirm whether the number is genuine
Their contact information is available at http://www.redcross.org.sg/new_bayofbengal_m.htm
You may call to confirm. Also, you are encouraged to reforward this email to anyone, specifically those in Singapore, so that they can donate more conveniently.

those reading are welcome to help them out...
